Bless the Lord, Oh my soul!

Karys Alexandra (aka: KK, Kare-bear, Kayser, K, and the list of nicknames goes on . . . . ) -
I cannot believe that you are already 9 months old! You are getting to be such a big girl! I love watching you learn new things and explore your world. You are a sweet little girl with a beautiful smile and a silly personality. You put smiles on everyone's faces and you can make Samuel belly laugh easier than anyone else! You add such a wonderful dynamic to our family and I already can hardly remember what life was like without you here. You are our little sunshine and we love you SO MUCH! What are you up to, my precious 9 month old?

You are exactly 24lbs!
You are in size 4 diapers but over this past month we have started using cloth diapers again. The are so much gentler on your bottom and you don't seem to mind them at all.
You are in size 12-18 month clothes. There are some 12 month clothes that I have packed away because they are to small but there are also some 18 month clothes that are still way too big for you! You don't wear shoes much, but if you did, you'd be in size 3.
You have 6 teeth: 2 on the bottom and 4 on the top. I bought you an amber teething necklace a couple of weeks ago because you are such a miserable teether and I was getting desperate!
You are crawling every.where. And you are into every.thing. Your siblings think it is funny (most of the time) when you get into their toys and ruin their projects. We'll see how long that lasts for! You have already fallen down 3 steps, gone head first into Grandma's bath tub (no water in it), bonked your poor little head more times than I can count, tasted toilet paper, played in the toilet water (it was clean!), ripped up books and magazines, tried to eat some foam stickers that you bit off of Aliyah's tambourine she made . . . . and so much more! We moved the TV to a higher TV stand because your favorite thing to do was crawl over to the TV stand, pull yourself up, and bang on the TV. Not good! Your favorite places to crawl to (when you see the opportunity!) are the bathroom (where you open all the drawers and pull out your toothbrush and pull out all of the bath toys from under the sink and play in the trash and the toilet if someone forgets to close the lid), the bottom of the stairs, and Samuel's bedroom (where you can single-handedly pull apart train tracks and ruin duplo creations). I love having a crawler and I love watching you explore. You keep Mommy on her toes!
You are also pulling to a stand and you are just starting to get brave enough to try and let go for a few seconds. You aren't really into walking holding onto hands yet so I think it'll be a little bit before your first steps. I'm okay with that! You will walk along the couch or around chairs though.
You love to wave! Usually it is with both hands along with a squeal and a big smile. When you get up from your nap we always go and find the kids (often they are eating lunch) and they all wave and say "hi! hi! hi!" You get all excited and squeal and wave back at them. They love it! You also wave whenever you see your reflection in a mirror or a window.
One of the adorable little things you do is drumming/tapping fingers when you are intently watching someone or something. It is so precious!
You love to give big slobbery kisses!
You are loving table food! And you pretty much refuse to open your mouth for baby food. Your favorite foods are bananas, toast with strawberry jam, noodles (spaghetti, tuna noodle, mac and cheese, etc), vegetables (especially carrots and green beans), cheese, oatmeal, cheese puffs, blueberry bread, grapes, and ice cream. ;)
You are already trying and learning to climb stairs. Just tonight you climbed up 6-7 steps with Daddy right behind you.
You are still the noisiest baby I know! People will often comment about it as well - you are constantly screeching. You have even learned to make noise when you inhale so now you really can be constantly making noise!! This is one of the reasons that you still sleep in Mommy and Daddy's room. You are usually the first one up and I'm not ready to move you in with your siblings where you will most likely wake them up as well!
You love your pacifier. We often give it to you in Church (or at other times) when we need you to stop screeching and making noise!!
