My parents treated the whole family to a 3 night stay at The Homestead near Glen Arbor, MI. We rented a huge house and had a great time together! The weather cooperated, and, despite getting our full size van stuck on the hill when we got there on the way up to the house (all the guys needed to push it up because the wheels couldn't get any traction), we were very thankful for the large amount of snow that fell. It helped Kaye celebrate one of her first ever times in the snow and it gave us lots of great powder for skiing and snowboarding and sledding!
Highlights:
- Kaye playing in the snow for the first time
- Realizing I can still ski and snowboard with the best of them …. even after 4 kids!
- Samuel and Aliyah and Savannah sharing a big room with Grandpa and Grandma, lots of giggles!
- Games!
- The beautiful, beautiful snow!
- Getting Samuel and Hope on skis. They tried really hard but they didn't last very long. Not quite ready yet!
