Memorial Day {2013}

What a cold Memorial Day!  The forecast was for a sunny day in the low 70s.  Not even close!  It was drippy and cold and windy.  We had already promised the kids a day at Lake Michigan (lesson learned!) so we decided to brave the cold and head out there.  Plus, my parents and Anna were biking the Kal-Haven trail and we told them we'd drive their van out to them!  Samuel was determined to play on the beach.  It didn't last long, but he played on the beach!  They had even more fun playing on the playground on the beach - it's always too hot to play on it in the summer when we are there!  We ended the day by heading to Sherman's Ice Cream (we still needed ice cream even though it was freezing!) before heading back to my parent's house for supper.  The plan was to eat supper by the pier but it was way too cold!!

Story-Time!

I don't think that Karys will ever be lacking for entertainment.  My kids love reading books to her, showing her their toys, and having her watch them play.

Such a proud big brother!

Samuel held Karys during story time today.  He was so excited and proud that she fell asleep on his lap!  He said, "All I had to do was kiss her and kiss her and she closed her eyes and (shrug) . . . she fell asleep!"

Samuel has an incredible love for the i-pad, specifically for "beach buggy blitz".  He's waaaaay better at i-pad games than what I am.  He gets frustrated when I try to help him pass a level because usually I'm no help at all!

Samuel was waiting very patiently for Grandma and Aunt Anna to pick him up to go miniature golfing.  Aliyah decided to join him on the steps. :)

Bath Pictures!

It's great having my Mom around in the day time right now for so many different reasons!  One of those reasons is because she'll get out my camera and take pictures that I would never have otherwise - like adorable bath pictures!

Even with her umbilical cord off, Karys still doesn't enjoy bath time.  She might be happy for a few minutes but it isn't long before she is screaming and ready to get wrapped in a big cozy towel1

Big eyes and happy now that she is wrapped up in a towel and in her Mommy's arms!

Laying on the changing table is one of her favorite spots.
