Rarely does this girl not have some kind of expression on her face - flat is not a word I would use to describe her!!
The sun comes up, It's a new day dawning, It's time to sing your song again! What ever may pass and whatever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes!

Aliyah's Early Birthday Present
Grandpa and Grandma Neil were passing through this weekend, so they stopped with Aliyah's birthday gift. A Frozen ice castle with Elsa and Anna! It was a big hit!

KALSEC Fishing Contest
The KALSEC fishing contest was today! My Dad's work has beautiful ponds back behind their buildings and every year they do a fun fishing contest for the kids/grandkids of employees. The kids had a great time fishing and getting their faces painted and Karys had a great time running around and playing with sticks. :)

Samuel's First Missing Tooth!
Samuel lost his first tooth today!! I took the first picture and then shortly after that he asked me if he could have my phone. I gave it to him and he apparently went into my bedroom and took selfies of himself with his missing tooth. Even cuter, he made a little video about his missing tooth! He made up a song that went like this: "Oh, I have a missing tooth, do you see it? (then he would stop and smile and move his lips around so that the gap in his mouth was visible) Oh yeah, I have a missing tooth! Oh yeah, I have a missing tooth. Do you see it? (repeat the process of making sure we could all see it) Yes I do! Yes I do! Do you see my missing tooth?"
Absolutely. Priceless.

Happy Father's Day!
After our Australian friends left to continue on their journey, we headed up to the cottage for the afternoon to spend Father's Day with Grandpa and Grandma Bishop. It was a windy day but we had a wonderful time celebrating all of our dads!!
Australian Visitors
Yesterday and today, we had the privilege of hosting Peter and Robyn Hopper. They are a wonderful couple from Australia who are touring the United States on motorcycle. Michael Patterson (adoptive dad from COTP) got them in touch with us because they were looking for an overnight place to stay in Michigan. We truly enjoyed every minute with them. They are very special people! We brought them to our Father's Day picnic last night at Douglas Walker Park with my Dad's side of the family. They enjoyed talking with everyone and having an "All-American" cook-out. We sent them off with a lot of hugs and well wishes for a wonderful rest of their trip!
