A Sleeping Beauty

Karys had her two week appointment today with Dr Dyk.  She weighed 9lbs 12.5oz and was 22" long with a head circumference of 14 3/4". 

I could take pictures of this little sleeping beauty all day long.  Arms up over the head, feet crossed, and her little legs all scrunched up at the bottom of her bed equals total perfection and cuteness!!  Mommy loves you, sweet Karys!

**It was a hot day today too - upper 80s and humid.  We made it without turning the AC the whole day until it got to bedtime and we were all still hot and sweaty and sticky.  Thank goodness for central air!

Story-time!

Reading books to all 4 of my precious kids.  Not much could make this Mommy happier!!

Karys: 2 weeks

Sibling Love

Samuel and Aliyah can't keep their hands off of their baby sister!  It makes my heart happy to see how much they love her.  

(Hope adores her too but she has a bad cold right now and has been told no kissing and hugging Karys until she feels better!)

Hope's Recital!

Hope did it!!  We are so proud of her!!  She woke up this morning ready to go!!  Not a single tear on the stage and even a little bit of dancing.  We are so proud of our Hopey-girl!  She's pretty proud of herself too. :)  Makes my heart happy!

She danced to "Rockin' Robin" with her class and to "I want to be like Jesus" with all of Miss Niki's dance students.  She did awesome. :)

Terrence and Nicole's Wedding

Karys went to her first wedding tonight!!  Daryl stayed home with the oldest three and Karys and I went to my cousin Nicki's wedding.  Besides needing to nurse during the ceremony, Karys did awesome!  She even had an awesome blow-out poopy diaper during the reception.  The highlight of the wedding for us was definitely when my Aunt Joan came to our table asking (joking) if anyone had a spare garter because Nicki forgot hers back at the Church.  We all laughed and said no and as she started walking away I remembered that Karys had a little white lacy headband that I threw in the diaper bag for her to wear (which she obviously wasn't wearing!).  I called my Aunt Joan back and gave it to her, she gave it to Nicki, and Nicki ended up wearing it!!  Terrence was a little embarrassed when he learned that he pulled a baby headband off of Nicki's leg. ;)

Dance Rehearsal

Hope brought Daryl to her rehearsal tonight because I was at my cousin's wedding.  As you can see from the pictures, it went just like we expected, not well at all. :(  Hope just stood on the stage with huge tears rolling down her cheeks while her class danced around her.  We'll see how tomorrow goes but we are proud of her no matter what happens!!
